First Birthday Grandbaby

Post by Melrose »

Introducing My First Grand-daughter, born a Year Ago. She has just turned One Year Old.

At two and a half-months

Take a sprinkling of fairy dust,
An angel's single feather,
Also a dash of love and care,
Then mix them both together.
Add a sentiment or two,
...A thoughtful wish or line,
A touch of stardust, a sunshine ray...
Its a recipe, for a Baby Girl truly fine.

My Little Doll

She is my Angel
A sweet cherub I call
She smiles, she coos
She cries, she crawls
Now she blubbers
And she flatters me too.
In her cheeky gummy grin
Up her little arms
Wanting for a cuddle
And together we huddle.
She plays, she sleeps
She eats, she peeps
My day is never dull
Loving my little doll.

The Celebrant

A living doll
We love so dear
With angel's charm
Our hearts she warmed.
Her smiles turn to laughters
At times she bursts into tears
When discomfort is sensed with fears.
My sweetest delight of my golden years.
