Thinking about changing hosting providers

Post by wordtamer »

Renewal time is coming up again for this site and it looks like the cost of hosting has gone up a wee bit.
They want 280.00 for the next two years.

I think I can move it to a different provider and get an introductory offer for less than half that amount - though it's always a pain to migrate everything.

Just a warning that you might see some downtime mid-November if I can't negotiate a better deal with my current provider.

John, I didn't realize you paying anything. Maybe we should help you out; I'm willing to make a one time contribution of a nickel.

LOL
it wasn't originally this much, but I guess I had an 'introductory' offer. It's a pain to move to a different host, so I'm currently researching what's available, and I may attempt to renegotiate terms with my current provider.

When I moved from the last provider they made me some pretty darn good offers to stay, but I had already paid for this current provider so I declined. Perhaps these folks will do likewise - so I'll attempt it once I find a good alternative.
