Across the Miles and Years - Available.

Post by wordtamer »

Well, it took a lot of work but I got my first collection of poems published.
I'm quite happy with the results and I believe someone had asked me the question "Does createspace charge to publish?"

I can finally answer that question. They don't charge if you do absolutely everything, but they have several services available ranging in price from cheap to quite expensive. I don't think a poetry book would be a good candidate for the expensive program, they edit it several times and format it, and market it for you. But for a novel it might be worth the money.

Anyhow, for anyone who is interested in the book, there are several buying options:

1) find it on Amazon.com
This is a good choice if you have Amazon Prime, or you plan to buy other items at amazon since you can get free shipping.

2) get it from my Createspace page and get $2.00 off the retail price
but you have to pay shipping.

3) get a copy from me. I'll sign it for you and ship it to you using media mail (postage in the U.S. should be about a dollar. My price will be $7.50 with shipping included if shipped in the continental US with media mail. Otherwise it will include the shipping cost that I pay. I think this is the cheapest option. And you can use paypal if you like.

Also, if you do get a copy please review it on Amazon for me :)
Elle (Eagel21) has already left a very nice review. Thanks Elle!

She also has several books on Lulu.com look for E. Blaise
They look like beautiful hardbound books and would definitely be a keepsake.
Thanks

John, I didn't read all of this before I purchased it. I wanted to have it signed by you but it's too late, I already purchased it.

I am in the process of publishing my book 'Across the Miles and Years' as a Kindle book.
It will retail for 6.95 and they pay 70% royalty. Pretty cool.

It was actually pretty easy to format as a Kindle book. I was able to take the document from the original printing and remove some of the spacing and paging, then use the Mobipocket creator to format it as a book that Amazon could use.

I might also try formatting it as a Nook (Barnes and Noble) book.
